The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulate postgraduate students Tan Zi Wei, Neil Felicio Agesta, Ryan Yeo Yow Zhong, Joel Foo Jie, and Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and the Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (CONNECT) on their recent invited publication by Editor in Exploration, John Wiley & Sons, Inc with a current impact factor of 22.5. According to Clarivate (Web of Science) / Journal Citation Reports (JCR) the journal ranks in the top 10% in the materials science, multidisciplinary category.
This article has also been selected as the Inside Back Cover Art of Exploration, Volume 6, Issue 1 (Feb 2026), a remarkable achievement that reflects the quality and impact of their research.
The review article, titled “Unlocking the Potential of Carbon Nitride (CxNy) Electrocatalysts in Hydrogen Evolution, Oxygen Evolution and Overall Water Splitting”, presents a comprehensive connection of material design to catalytic performance, establishing a guide for creating efficient water-splitting electrodes. By outlining strategies to improve bifunctional catalysts, this work provides a clear pathway for advancing sustainable, large-scale hydrogen production.
