Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and Ecorys Sdn. Bhd. signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on 21 November 2023, to pioneer a groundbreaking Smart Fertilizer Management System.
Ms. Tan Wan Ting, Director of Ecorys Sdn. Bhd., and Prof. Wang Hui-Qiong, Assistant President of XMUM, signed the MOA. Ir. Dr. Ban Zhen Hong and Mr. Patric Looi witnessed the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Prof. Wang Hui-Qiong expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize agricultural practices. Ms. Tan Wan Ting further emphasized the mutual dedication shared by both parties, mentioning its role as a driving force behind innovation within the agriculture sector.
Focusing on the development of a cutting-edge Smart Fertilizer Management System, this project will leverage data generated through CFD simulations, utilizing advanced AI algorithms to optimize fertilizer usage. The project holds immense promise for revolutionizing agricultural practices, ensuring efficient resource utilization and sustainable farming.
