The Innovation Center congratulates XMUM Information and Communication Technology (ICT) student Gan Qi Wen for ranking Top 5 in ABB Intervarsity Innovation Challenge 2019.
Organized by ABB Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the final round of the competition was held on 21 October 2019 at Le Meredien Hotel Kuala Lumpur, with the theme “Writing the future of Digitalization and Sustainable Technologies”.
During the event, Gan Qi Wen presented his project themed “Low Latency Technology” and won a cash prize of RM 1,500.
Gan shared his thoughts on the event: “This is the coolest competition I have ever participate in. All the settings are amazing and staff are friendly too. Although I didn’t get first or second price, I am satisfied. I have learnt a lot of useful experience and received valuable feedback from the juries, which will help me in the future. These are things that money can’t buy. Still, I have a long journey to go and this competition is an incredible milestone for me. I am really grateful for this competition and feel honored to be one of the Top 5 Finalist. I look forward to participate in this kind of event again in the future. ”
