XMUM Students Win Global Third Prize at 12th PwC Cup “24H” Business Challenge 2021

The Innovation Center congratulates Lin Zhuonan and Xu Zichen, both second year undergraudates from XMUM School of Economics and Management, for winning Global Third Prize at the 12th PwC Cup “24H” Business Challenge 2021.  

The team of two were advised by Dr. Nicholas Lum Y.C. from the School of Economics and Management.

This competition was organized by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China, which invited university students to think strategically and stretch their analytic skills to solve a business case. It offered students the opportunity to evaluate a tough business situation using multiple perspectives in a short period of time, and to present their analysis in front of business leaders.  

In the final round of the competition, Lin Zhuonan and Xu Zichen partnered with two students from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The team of four, led by Lin Zhuonan, had 24 hours to come up with a solution to a real-life business case. The team presented a strategy plan called “Dare to Differ, Dare to Win” to emphasize their unique marketing plan and creative advertising idea. The team won the Global Third Prize and a cash prize of RMB 4,000 (around RM 2,575).

Lin Zhuonan also won the Most Potential Award and a cash prize for his outstanding performance in the competition.
