Our Vision

Research and Innovation at XMUM are represented by the Research and Postgraduate Centre (RPC) and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre (IEC) as administrative support centers for the university. We facilitate and celebrate the achievements of our researchers, postgraduate students, and research fellows.

We look to engage and collaborate with the wider community and stakeholders who are on par with us in pursuing excellence and striving for perfection in the field of higher education teaching and learning in all areas of research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Centres of Excellence

Xiamen University Malaysia has a total of six Centres of Excellence (CoE), with niche areas including energy, environment and climate change, HGHV agriculture and agro-based industry, biodiversity, food, smart technology and system.

Five of the CoEs are associated to the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and one is associated to the School of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. The CoEs boast of experts in various fields with flagship projects funded by multiple sponsors from the Government of Malaysia, China and public and private agencies.
